WHO WE ARE

Solomon, Winnett & Rosenfield, Certified Public Accountants, Inc. was created as a result of a merger of two firms both established in 1988. Our offices are located in Brentwood California. The founding shareholders who have enjoyed a working relationship spanning 20 years are Jerry R. Solomon and Harold G. Winnett.

THE PRINCIPALS

Jerry Solomon received both his BS Degree in accounting (1973) and an MBA from UC Berkeley (1974). Throughout college and following graduation, he worked in the tax department of JK Lasser & Company that later became Touche Ross & Company. After leaving JK Lasser, Jerry joined a large local CPA firm where he became the partner in charge of the comprehensive business services department as well as the administrative partner in charge of 7 partners and 80 staff. In 1988 he formed Solomon & Company CPA's Inc. that later merged with Harold G. Winnett. Jerry's practice is limited to service businesses, primarily medical, highly compensated individuals and real estate oriented businesses. Jerry serves on several boards of directors including a large publically traded international real estate company.

Harold Winnett graduated from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant before imigrating to the United States in 1979. He joined the international CPA firm of Oppenheim, Appel and Dixon in the audit department where he qualified as a CPA. After leaving Oppenheim, he joined a large local CPA firm rising to audit manager supervising 25 people before leaving to form his own firm in 1988. Presently Harold's clients are involved in manufacturing, distribution and service businesses. He actively participates in all aspects of the clients' business affairs including tax and business planning.

Neil Rosenfield graduated from the University of Natal in South Africa and joined the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant prior to immigrating to the United States in 1986. After initially joining a large local CPA firm and qualifying as a CPA in 1988, he left to become a partner at a small Beverly Hills CPA firm, where he practiced until joining Solomon, Winnett & Company CPA's Inc. in 1996. Neil's practice is limited to service businesses, primarily medical, highly compensated and high net worth individuals. He actively particpates in all aspects of the client's business affairs including tax and business planning.
